About Us

Dr. Ross T. Russell

Dr. Ross Russell received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2009. Following graduation, he immediately took a position working at Pinnacle Race Course as an equine veterinarian.  Dr. Russell has a deep Thoroughbred background, as his father is a long time race horse trainer.  Beginning at a young age, he has worked in almost every position on the “backside”; groom, exercise rider, owner, trainer, and now Veterinarian.

He has continued his career with a focus on lameness and sport horse medicine.  He is also an Equine Chiropractor.  Dr. Russell works with many top-level show horses, race horses, and pleasure horses in the greater Tampa area, all the way from Ocala as far south as Naples.  His home farm is located in Ocala, FL, where it has grown into a thriving multi-disciplinary facility.

When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and cheering on Michigan State athletics.

Dr. Gary A. Wilson

Dr. Wilson grew up with horses on his family farm and during the first 17 years of his professional career as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.), he came to find that many performance, injury and lameness problems stemmed from spine and joint issues. This led Dr. Wilson to pursue certification as an equine chiropractor.

Developing his skill at diagnosing and treating injured and lame horses for over 40 years, Dr. Wilson can accurately identify any problems, reduce pain and keep a horse in peak condition. He has treated countless show and performance horses, lesson horses, race horses and pleasure horses. He has gone on to become one of the national AVCA Chiropractic certifiers for new veterinarians learning about chiropractic care.

While chiropractic work with horses is his passion, Dr. Wilson is also available by appointment for routine medical issues and non-emergency illnesses. He can also advise on foot balance/shoeing, nutrition, exercise, and provide intra-articular joint injections.
